Jean-Pascal Souque
Jean-Pascal Souque is an Associate of the CCI Leadership Institute, an Ottawa-based company that advances individual excellence and organizational effectiveness through strategic leadership development. He belongs to a team of certified executive coaches who formerly held executive-level positions in corporate and governmental organizations. Jean-Pascal coaches intact executive teams and high potential senior managers, and provides strategic advice on succession planning and change management.
In January 2007, Jean-Pascal retired from his position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for the Canadian Medical Association Holding Company (CMAH). Since 1999, Jean-Pascal was Vice President, MD Institute (CMAH), where he was responsible for the direction, development, and provision of learning and development programs that support MD’s core values and business strategy.
Before joining the MD financial group, Jean-Pascal held senior administrative and research positions in several Canadian organizations, including the Conference Board of Canada (1993-1999), the National Museum of Science and Technology (Assistant Director, in charge of Public Programs and Operations), and the Science Council of Canada (Senior Science Adviser). Trained as a physical chemist, Jean-Pascal realized soon enough that he was more interested in people than molecules, and switched to teaching chemistry to teenagers; hence his atypical career path from the laboratory to the corporation via the classroom.
