Tony Petrella
Tony Petrella has consulted to key executives in major corporations in the United States and internationally for the past 40 years. His work has always focused on developing greater commitment and accountability through restructuring work and relationships in organizations, as well as creating a more trusting and risk-taking approach on the part of management. The primary objective of his current work is the operational restructuring of organizations, as well as coaching and counselling key executives.
Tony brings considerable experience, perspective and insight to his clients about individual and team behaviour, as well as how organizations work to bring about change. His approach is collaborative, using and releasing the energy, knowledge and wisdom of his clients to achieve productive organizational change.
Tony has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Industrial Relations, both from the University of Minnesota.
In 1968 Tony co-founded Block Petrella Weisbord, Inc., and served as it president until 1995. From 1975-1985, Tony served as Executive Director of the National Organization Development Network, a professional organization dedicated to the humanization of work and the enhancement of organizational effectiveness.
In a 1985 survey conducted for the American Society of Training and Development, Tony was listed among Organization Development's top ten consultants. In 1993 he was honoured at the National Conference of the Organization Development Network as one of a select group of founders and pioneers.
Tony is an instructor on the Queen's IRC's ground-breaking Organization Development Foundations program.
