Yvonne Latta
Yvonne Latta is a long-time public sector executive and consultant. She enjoyed a unique 31-year career with the federal public service both as an operational leader in a region and as a corporate leader at three national headquarters. From 2000 to 2003, she was Director General, Human Resources, with Transport Canada, where she created a new vision for HR, developed a corporate leadership strategy, and implemented performance management and measurement.
As Director General, Strategic Business Planning, at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Yvonne provided leadership and direction on all business planning activities of the department. And as Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Ontario Region, with Correctional Service of Canada, Yvonne provided corporate leadership to 11 penitentiaries and five parole districts. Prior to this, she was a Warden at two federal penitentiaries.
As a consultant, Yvonne has worked for a wide variety of clients, including Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, the Privacy Commissioner, Department of National Defense, Foreign Affairs, Transport Canada, the Conference Board of Canada, Consulting and Audit Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and others. She designed and facilitates the three-day orientation course for all new federal government Executives, and teaches a segment of the public service orientation course for all new federal government employees.
