When I asked my mom what she wanted for her birthday, she told me that she would like a manual espresso machine. I didn’t even know she liked espresso, so this really took me by surprise. When I asked her if she would like an automatic one instead, she was very clear that she did not want that kind. One of the ladies in her book club has a manual one, and she has been enjoying the espressos at the club meetings every other Tuesday. She hadn’t even considered getting one for home until I asked her what she wanted.
I did not know the first thing about any type of espresso maker, let alone one where you have to do it manually, so I knew that I had my work cut out for me. I could have just went to one of the large online retailers and purchased one from them, but I am not that kind of person. Even though this is not for me, I wanted to understand everything about the manual espresso machine before buying one for my mom. The only way to do that was by going online and doing some good old fashioned research.
I was able to find a website that had a lot of information about the manual makers. The neat thing about this site is that while it was jam packed with helpful reviews and tips, it also had videos that really put everything in a much clearer perspective for me. Because of this site, I was able to get my mom the perfect espresso machine, and she has told me that it is even better than the one her friend has. I think she may start hosting some of the club meetings more often so she can show off her own espresso skills now!
