Research by Queen's IRC Director Dr. Carol Beatty shows that team-management practices, problem-solving skills, and conflict-handling skills are essential for team performance and satisfaction. Using her original research as a foundation, Dr. Beatty has developed a fascinating benchmarking survey that measures how a particular team stacks up against the best on these process skills. The survey is filled out on hard copy or online by each team member. The team leader receives a diagnostic assessment of the team's strengths as well as areas needing improvement.
