Our OD/OE Certificate Programs
There is a significant evolution in the field of human resource management: increasingly, people management practitioners must understand the concepts and learn the skills involved in designing organizations to leverage inherent strengths, not stifle them. The practitioner's work is guided by a set of powerful questions designed to discover the needs of their organization. The toolkit includes a theory map or diagnostic lens that guides the practitioner's questions, an action research consulting process, and a battery of effective techniques to create suitable interventions.
We have designed all of our organization development and effectiveness programs with such needs in mind. Incorporating what we learned from focus groups, academic theories, and our own practice, we created the Queen's IRC Blueprint for Diagnosing Organization Effectiveness, which is designed to help practitioners to collect data, begin diagnosing what is going on in the organization, and identify where they may intervene. Our basic OD certificate offers the grounding in OD and the skill set to lead change initiatives and build high-performing teams. The Organization Effectiveness Master Certificate described here allows practitioners to go deeper into each of the "rooms" of the IRC Blueprint.
